Kenneth Carsten Lemkau, 81, Crawfordsville, passed away May 19, 2024 at
Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville, Indiana.
He was born on September 29, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Kenneth Carsten and Vernette
(Johnson) Lemkau.
Mr. Lemkau attended the University of Iowa, received his B.S. from Southern
Illinois University and his M.B.A. from Georgia State. In addition, he received
is C.P.A. certification. He had been the C.F.O of Mid-States and was also the
owner of National Extrusion.
He served in the U.S. Army. His memberships included First United Methodist
Church, American Legion Post #72, Elks, where he was a state officer, Masonic
Lodge, N.R.A., the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ben Hur
Car Club and was a volunteer for the Community Christmas Dinner for many years
and was in charge of the meals delivered.
Survivors include his brother, Dennis (Delores) Lemkau, sister, Nancy Whaley and
his companion, Marty Heinold.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on June 1 at First United Methodist
Church with Brian Campbell. Military rites will be performed by the American
Legion and the U.S. Army.
