Jerry L. Johnson, 68, of Silvis, died May 16, 2011, at his home.
Family and friends will meet at Schroder Mortuary, Thursday, at 9:15 a.m. for a
10 a.m. service at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to
the family.
He was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Moline, son of William and Minnie Schoonbaert
Johnson. He married Shirley Segura, July 31, 1971, in Silvis.
Jerry worked at the former John Deere Foundry as an overhead crane operator,
retiring in 1988.
He was an avid car buff and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; mother, Minnie Johnson, East Moline;
sons,Jan and Tony, both of Silvis; and a brother,Bill (Becky) Johnson Jr.,
Silvis. He was preceded in death by his father, William Johnson Sr.
