Sandra K. Vanvalkenburg, 60, of North Glenn, Colo., died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Westminster, Colo.

Services were Friday, Oct. 24, in Boulder Colo. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, and in Colorado at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

She was born Dec. 7, 1942, in Sterling, Ill., the daughter of Richard and Margaret Farrell Huston. She graduated in 1960 from United Township High School. She married Everett Vanvalkenburg Oct. 28, 1962, in East Moline.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Jay Rockeman, Broomfield, Colo.; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Gina Vanvalkenburg, Westminster; grandchildren, Makenna and Jack Rockeman, Jordan Vanvalkenburg; parents, Richard and Margaret Huston, East Moline; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Marcia Huston, Moline; nieces, Beverly and Marlena Huston. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
