Carole Ann Sanders, 68, of Kewanee, died at 12:12 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
Kewanee. The Rev. Burnell Eckardt will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4
to 6 p.m. Sunday at Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee. Interment will be at Pleasant
View Cemetery, Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Carole was born April 7, 1942, in Davenport, the daughter of Paul and Ann
Martens Glaudel. She married Duane R. Sanders on May 27, 1961, in Davenport.
She was a 1960 graduate of United Township High School and attended two years of
traffic school. She worked as a traffic supervisor for International Harvester,
Farmall Plant, for 10 years and also for a food brokerage business for 15 years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She loved fishing, crocheting
and collecting Precious Moments figurines.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Steve (Jo) Sanders, Victoria, Ill.; a
daughter, Sherry (Brian) Henley, Woodstock, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jessica,
Brien, Sarah and Colton; and a sister, Deanne Sanders. She was preceded in death
by her parents and a brother, Paul Glaudel Jr.
