Patricia (Adams) Bryant

                                                                                                            

Patricia A. Bryant, 76, of Columbus, Ohio passed away in the arms of her husband, Ty, and daughter, Lisa and her husband, Bruce from complications of Alzheimer’s disease on April 6, 2019 at the Forest Hill Care Center, an Alzheimer’s special care facility in Columbus, Ohio, where she been a resident since November 5, 2012. Her husband, Ty, visited and supported her each day while she lived there. Pat was born in East Moline, IL on May 11, 1942 to the late Carl and Marion (Quick) Adams. She graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, IL. She was selected for Miss Youth for Christ in Rockford, IL for bible knowledge and community service. Pat earned a financial academic scholarship from 1st National Bank, Moline, IL, that gave her the opportunity to go to Cedarville College in Ohio where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She had high academic success throughout her college career that included traveling with the college choir and also included playing the flute. Upon graduation in June 1964, Pat worked for the Salvation Army in Indianapolis, IN. She also worked for her master’s degree and conducted field work for an inner city school while attending Indiana University campus located in Indianapolis. She was an Assistant Youth Leader at Prairie Baptist Church in Noblesville, IN. She and her husband were involved in assisting in the establishment of two Baptist churches, Calvary Baptist in Menomonee Falls, WI and Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jamestown, OH. Pat was employed by Cedarville University for eight years as an assistant professor to teach social work for several years. She also worked for the Green County Combined Health Department in Xenia, OH for ten years as a medical case worker to all communities and cities in Green County. Her real love was working as a case manager in Fairborn at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was also a co-founder with her husband, Ty, of the New Life Foundation, an Ohio Bio Medical education and research 501c3 non-profit, faith-based foundation for advancing bio medical discovery and delivery for the saving of lives. She assisted her husband in the formation and management of two bio medical companies, Future Path Medical, LLC and Visioneering Bio Design, LLC. Pat was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. Pat is survived by her husband, Ty; daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Taranger; son, Tyrone A. Bryant; six grandchildren, Brooke Gibson, Jaryd Taranger, Amber, Anna, Zachary and Nathan Bryant; six siblings, Jim, Tim, Thurlow, Mary Lou Adams, Judy Becker, and Cynthia Reeves. She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher A. Bryant and brother, Don Adams. Please join family and friends, who will gather to honor and remember the life of Patricia A. Bryant, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4701 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their condolences are most welcome to contribute to the New Life Foundation, a 501c3 faith-based, non-profit research and development bio medical foundation founded by Ty and Pat. All contributions are welcomed. There will be a drop box available for donations at the celebration of life.
