Tips
-
Avoid purchasing film or digital memory cards overseas. It is generally too
expensive.
-
You are allowed to take 10 rolls of film per camera, always use 36 exposure
films instead of 24 exposures.
-
Keep your film in an X ray protective film bag.
These may be purchased at a camera store.
-
Always place your film or digital memory cards in a carry on bag, never in
your check in luggage.
-
If possible, never allow your film to go through
an X ray machine. Always have it hand checked.
-
To avoid paying duty on your expensive camera,
take some proof of purchase for the camera with you
-
Never check cameras or camcorders as
luggage.
-
Some X Rays will destroy video tape. Ask the
security person about X Ray machine.
-
Take along an extra camcorder or digital camera batteries.
-
Always keep the camcorder or digital
camera batteries fully charged. Leaving the batteries uncharged for prolonged
periods of time will weaken the recharging capability of the
battery.
-
Check to see if your camcorder or digital camera charger is a dual
voltage (11OV/220V) unit. If not, purchase a matching voltage converter for
the charger.
