Bare Necessities
-
Carry a pocket knife (Put with your luggage to be
checked in but not in your carry-on items).

Use a straight razor instead of an electric
razor (Put with your luggage to be checked in but not in your carry-on
items).

Take a portable alarm clock.

Take several ball point pens and a small pad of
paper with you. Keep the pens in several locations (carry-on bag, pocket, and
suit case.

Take a few spare pieces of stationery and a few
envelopes

Take the necessary adapter plugs for your
appliances (available at Radio Shack and hardware stores). Voltage converters
(110V to 220V) must be matched to power requirements. There are three sizes
available at Radio Shack.

Take a large mailing tube that will fit inside
your large suit case for roll up items (i.e. souvenirs, prints, and small
breakable objects).

Take a spare set of eye glasses and a pair of sun
glasses.

Take two pair of reading glasses if you need them.
-
Take a few small plastic bags.
-
Take a roll of 1" strapping
tape.

Take a small tube of Petroleum
Jelly.

Take a small calculator for currency exchange
calculations.

Take a cotton bag for your dirty laundry.
